Commissions
I am excited to be able to offer a commission service and I am happy to give any project a go. Before accepting a commision I will assess the photograph you would like and make sure it is suitable. I will make a first draft to check that you are happy before continuing to the final piece, this is when I will require the deposit. Compositions may be changed if I think they would work better but you will get to review this beforehand.
I can paint landscapes, portraits and animals and if I am not happy with the quality of my work or the likeness to the subject and feel I can not fullfill our contract to the standard you expect I will offer a refund of the deposit (This is the only circumstance that I will do this as the deposit is to cover materials and my initial time).
Prices depend on size and medium as per the guide below but I am happy to talk about custom sizes and surfaces.

I will strive to replicate a reference photo in my style using oil paint on paper. This can have a small white border left if you wish.
It will be pesented to you in a 14×11 white mount.
£25 non returnable deposit £75 on completion
The rights to the reference photo must be owned by yourself and I reserve the right to share the painting on my social media unless specifically requested not to.
Oil paint has a longer drying time so this needs to be considered. Depending on the thickness of the paint I like to wait at least a week after the last stroke before putting it in a frame but it will vary from painting to painting.

I will strive to replicate a reference photo in my style using oil paint on canvas board. This surface will show texture but if you prefer a smooth finish I can aim to provide one. These canvas boards can be framed in a normal frame as they tend to be only a few millimeters thick.
£50 non returnable deposit £150 on completion
